Mission to Dominican Republic 2019

Cheyne is sending a mission team to the Dominican Republic in March of 2019. The Cheyne Team will be partnering with two other experienced teams from Knox Presbyterian Church Waterdown and Trinity Presbyterian Church Hamilton.

Why?

A short term mission is an opportunity to share the gospel and provide practical assistance to those who are in need.  Jesus tells his disciples to “go and make disciples” in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.  As followers of Jesus, members of a short term mission team will have the opportunity to “go” and share the good news of Jesus for a week-long trip. A short term mission team not only allows members of the team to share God’s love with others, but it is also an opportunity for members to experience God’s work in their own lives.  A short term mission provides both an opportunity for evangelism as well as discipleship and equipping.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19,20
